Thyroid nodules
My wife was diagnosed with thyroid nodules 6 months with size 3×2.3×2.7 cm. Needle test suggestive colloid nodule. The endocrinologist advised a repeat scan after 6 months, and today, we scanned, and it shows Nodule mild increase in size I.e 3.1×2.5×3.4 cm And also a few small nodules seen in the right lobe , the largest measuring 3.9x3.9 mm. Is there anything to worry about? What would be the right course of treatment ? 6 back, the endocrinologist suggested removing the thyroid gland if it was in size. Is this a significant increase for surgery, or RFA is better ? Who is the top specialist surgeon in bangalore to address this?
