Thyroid in pregnancy
Hi doctor My friend has been suffering from hypothyroidism since Mar 2020 and have been taking thyronorm 25mcg since then She has recently got pregnant and at 4th week of pregnancy her TSH was 2.5..doctor has asked to increase the dose to 50 mcg Now after 8 weeks of pregnancy her tsh has dropped to 0.5 however the doctor has asked to be on the sane dose (50 mcg) Now she is concerned that her tsh has dropped from 2.6 to 0.5 in a month after changing the dose So will it not go further down if she keeps on taking 50 mcg?? Please advise if 50mcg is the right dose? Thanks in advance
