Throat irritation
Past couple of days by baby has been making this noise that's like how we clear out throat when we have to spit out phlegm. I hear it when she's both active and asleep. Her nose has dry mucus for which I use nasal drops. However, the throat sound is bothering me. It's not like the regular grunt. I use an air purifier but when we take her out of the room the pollutant level is around 120. I'm concerned because I don't want this to aggravate. Kindly advise. Thank you!

If the baby has no other problem like fever or feeding difficulty then humidification of room air would help. For that you can use a humidifier . Steam inhalation would also help. Anti allergic or decongestants also help clearing the sputum/phlegm. If the response is still poor you will be to check with your paediatrician. Meanwhile keep the baby away from allergens like dust, pets, strong smells and people with respiratory infection.
Next Steps
Humidification, steam inhalation with decongestants and antiallergic meds’.
