Teeth shifted after braces
I had my braces removed in 2016. I wore the retainers for 1-2 months and then I discontinued them. Now my teeth have moved back to being in front and crooked. Could retainers help or do I have to get braces again ?

Retainers need to be wear for a longer time because their are high chances of orthodontic relapse.. so to avoid relapse, retainers are given..

If your braces were removed 4-5 years back, and your teeth are again moving to their previous position, you need to go for braces or other minor corrections again. Retainers won’t help much.

The name of the appliance itself means "retainer" it can just retain the position of the teeth, it could not be used to change the position
Next Steps
consult an orthodontist he might suggest you a better option after seeing the condition clinically.
