TB Skin test
Hello, I had done a Skin test for TB for VISA.. I got result of 8mm with no prior signs and symptoms of TB. I am perfectly healthy with no symptoms of TB.. Can someone please tell me when will the bump go away? Or is there a way/ ointment to reduce the bump? Its been a week..

It is not considered positive if it is not  15 mm or above in a person who is not at risk and has no symptoms.  But since India has high prevalence of TB an induration greater than 10 mm may be considered positive. In any case yours is 8 mm you need not worry . Since you might have had BCG vaccination a little induration is normal. Swelling should come down in few weeks.
