Taking whiskey once
I wanted to know if it is safe for my husband to take a little whiskey on new year once. But he is diabetic and around the start of December, his hba1c level came as 10.5, triglycerides were around 600, urine ACR was around 300... So the doctor increased sugar medicines. Will it be okay if he takes little whiskey once or not? Right now his sugar after meals are coming below 180. Will taking once pose a serious risk?

Ideally, he should not drink, however if he can't abstain, do it in moderation ( not more than 120 ml). Remember, binge drinking should be avoided as it can lead to serious complications.
