I've had a sore throats for 3 days, with swollen gums, and sores in my mouth and on my tongue as well as a fever

Gums can be swollen up due to fever. You have to visit to a good physician so he/she can revel what is a problem . For swill gums try to rinse with mild warm water with half tee spoon of salt
