Dear , actually not having detailed history , without examination difficult to comment , still there are possibility of unknowingly  u got hurt May  be because of swelling or   unknowing  trauma , Deep venous thrombosis  its emergecy as medically , in this condition leg get swell because there is blockage in blood vessels ,many more reasons so without examination can't say more So need to consult doctor
