HbA1c is average of 3 months result won't altered even if u had moderate amount of sweet previous night ...can be done from random sample ..
However, it may slightly influence the fasting blood sugar if the intake was excessive or very late at night. If an adequate 8–10 hour fasting period is maintained (only water allowed), the fasting value should generally be reliable.

Sweet intake might affect the fasting blood sugar level, it does not affect the HbA1C since HbA1C is the average sugars in the last 3 months before the test.
A 10 hour fasting period is recommended before the test.
Intake of sweets one day prior may affect FBS or PLBS
But wont effect your HBA1C as HBA1C is average of your glucose for 3-4 months
