Suture healing advice
Dear doctor, my son recently fell off on flower pot and got a cut on forehead . Since it was a Sunday we rushed to emergency where the doctor has given him two stitches, please advice in how many days we need to get stitches removed. Also, what should I do as post care to reduce scarring, some relatives later suggested that glue should have been used instead of stitches but I am clueless about it, I did what was suggested.

Usually stitches should be removed after 7 days. Apply betadine ointment over wound to avoid infection. Scar will get lighter as years will pass by.. You can use contractubex ointment. It has effects on reducing scar mark.
