Hi doctor. I was born in 1972 in hyderabad. I have large fibroids in my uterus. I had a normal pregnancy at 19 and I had no complications. I'm divorced and I have a 26 year old son. Today I came across the term DES daughters in google. My mother had 5 misscarriages and I'm her only daughter and she used to tell me (my mother is no more) that her doctor prescribed her many medicines to avoid misscarriages. Now I'm afraid that those medicines could be Diethylstilbestrol (DES). Please clarify me whether this drug was used in India in 1960s and 70s. Is there any possibility for me to be a DES daughter. If yes, pleaae tell me what should i do to prevent cancers
