Sunlight for jaundice

Hello doctor, We had a new born baby 5 days ago. He has jaundice T Birilubin 11.5 Doctor advice for sunlight daily twice. Due to some reasons we missed sunlight for 1 day. If we miss by chance at any time, will this increase bilirubin level again?

Recently the studies have not established any benefit of this...Bilirubin level will be normal after 2-3 weeks of birth...Need not worry provided it is physiological jaundice...
