My mother was prescribed Crina NCR 15 mg for 5 days to control excessive prolonged bleeding in menses in the past . Can she use it again to control bleeding now ? She is 51 years old . She got her periods almost 3 months late . She had slight to moderate bleeding for the first 4 days , bleeding increased from 5th day . She had similar complaint in the past October 2025 , for which Crina NCR is prescribed 15mg for 5 days to control bleeding and 10mg for 25 days . Can she use 15mg to control bleeding ?

At this age periods are going to be irregular before finally stopping. But having excessive prolonged bleeding needs to be investigated properly........ starting with your mother's BP, few blood investigations and a usg ... Further management will depend on above reports. Donot take any drug on your own.

Before that she has to get pelvic scan to see endometrial thickness She can take tranexamic acid tablet until scan

A pelvic scan is important to find out the cause of bleeding. Also a vaginal examination by a gynaec. Crina NCR withiut seeing a doctor is not recommended. She can take Tab PAUSE MF
