Hi, Binocular diplopia can be caused by many conditions. Few are related with brain and few are not. It can be related to brain and nervous system even if he does not have other diseases and headache. An ophthalmologist will examine his eyes and let you know the cause.. if there is no localised eye problem responsible for diplopia the doctor may advise a brain scan.
