My father in-law has urine retention problem and has undergone dilation and viu at 1994 in Mysore kamakshi hospital. Later every two months once, he has dilation for a year, and since then he is undergoing dilation once in year till date. His recent dilation along with viu was done in 7/12/2016. But again he is facing problem.and when consulted, doctor is advising dilation again.plz help whthr it's safe to undergo dilation so many times .also they have told if he doesn't feel normal aftr dilation they wud prefer augmented urethroplasty.plz give suggestions
