Stopping Progesterone in pregnancy
I have 1 kid & don't have history of miscarriage. Still my doctor asked to start Duphaston 10mg twice per day for 14 days from 6th week of pregnancy & then asked to stop suddenly on 8th week. I got fear because it is hormonal medicine, so went asked for another doctor for second option. My second doctor said as you have already started taking Duphaston for 2 weeks, so it is advised to continue till 12 weeks to avoid any issues. So, she said me don't stop now & continue till NT scan on 12th week. After scan we will stop it. So, I have decided to go with second doctor to continue Duphaston twice per day till 12th week. Would that be good idea? Kindly share your advice on this. Thanks.
