Stomach ulcer(Gastric problem)
Hii My mother is suffering from gastric problem since 10 years. Recently she feels pain in her stomach so she consulted doctor. He preffered him to use Cyra it capsule once a day. She is observing black stool every day. What is the reason for black stool?? Due to usage of tablet cyra it, whether the black stool is appearing?? What will be the reason that she observing black stool daily??? Please answer me this question...

Long history of gastric ulcer with black colour stools may rarely point towards even a tumor. Most of the times iron containing drugs do cause black stools. Please get a CBC and tumor marker test done and meet a gastroenterologist as early as possible

Black coloured stool is called Malena.Since she is a known case of acid peptic disease . She should be evaluated with UPPER GI SCOPY to rule out stomach .Tab Cyra rarely causes change in colour of stool. Iron containing medications can cause black coloured stool.
