Hello, I understand your concern Most cases are harmless & diet-related. If your child is active, growing well, no fever/vomiting/diarrhea, foul-smelling gas + green stools are usually not dangerous. Why this happens: Excess junk food, packed snacks, juices, sugary drinks Lots of green leafy vegetables/food colour Low water intake Constipation/irregular stools Recent antibiotics → temporary gut imbalance Smelly gas alone is not a disease—most improve with diet + routine
Next Steps
Give home-cooked food, fruits, vegetables, whole grains Reduce chips, chocolates, juices, bakery items Ensure good hydration Encourage daily toilet routine, physical activity Add curd/probiotics for 2–3 weeks Keep a 3–5 day food–stool diary Avoid: Self-starting antibiotics, anti-gas syrups Excess milk/processed cheese if it worsens symptoms
Health Tips
Red flags: Persistent > 2–3 weeks Weight loss, poor appetite, abdominal pain Chronic diarrhea/greasy stools Blood/mucus in stool Very foul, explosive stools after water exposure
