Mild, intermittent right-sided abdominal pain that shifts between the right upper and lower quadrant over 7 days needs proper evaluation. The right upper quadrant suggests possible gallbladder or liver involvement, while the right lower quadrant could point to the appendix, colon, or in women, ovarian causes. The shifting nature and persistence without worsening is slightly reassuring, but 7 days is long enough that it should not be left uninvestigated.
Next Steps
Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation — an abdominal ultrasound and basic blood tests would help identify the cause clearly.

Hello. you've been dealing with mild, shifting pain on the right side of your abdomen for a week. Because this pain is persistent and shifting, we need to be careful about simply masking the symptoms. To help me understand what might be going on, could you please clarify a few things: Other Symptoms: Have you noticed any changes in your bowel movements (constipation or diarrhea), nausea, vomiting, or fever? Triggers: Does the pain seem linked to eating certain foods, or does it happen when you are hungry? Physical Signs: Have you noticed any bloating or gas that seems to coincide with the discomfort? For now, please follow these steps: Diet: Stick to a simple, bland diet for the next few days—avoid spicy, oily, or fried foods. Hydration: Ensure you are drinking enough water throughout the day. Avoid Self-Medicating: Please do not start any painkillers like Meftal without a proper diagnosis, as they can sometimes hide more serious issues. Once you share those additional details, I will be able to give you a much clearer path forward.
