Stomach pain before the period

Asked for Female, 26 Years

Hi , My wife is having these pain just after the ovulation starts and the pain lasts for 5 to 7days until the periods . I have already consulted a doctor who said its the manstural cramps . how can we go forward for this .. I have not tried any medication for her yet . can this be cured ? she suffers a lot during those days and sometimes the pain is unbearable.. Can anyone help
