Your symptoms suggest gastritis or acid irritation triggered by spicy food, which is common in those with sensitive stomachs or a history of lactose intolerance. Since you improved after avoiding dairy, your gut is already sensitive — spicy food likely inflamed it again. This doesn't seem serious now, but repeated episodes can lead to chronic gastritis or reflux. Best to: Rest your gut for 1–2 days, Avoid spicy/trigger foods regularly, Use antacids occasionally (if advised),
Next Steps
1. Avoid spicy and oily food. 2. Eat bland meals (rice, oats, banana). 3. Take pantoprazole 40 mg before breakfast (3–5 days). 4. Stay hydrated. 5. See a doctor if no relief in 3 days.
Health Tips
Eat slowly and chew well. Don’t skip meals; eat small, frequent meals. Avoid tea, coffee, carbonated drinks. Don’t lie down right after eating—wait at least 2 hours. Keep a food diary to track triggers. Manage stress—it can worsen acidity.

Avoid spicy, oily, and acidic foods, especially on an empty stomach. Take a PPI like omeprazole 20 mg once daily, 30 minutes before breakfast. Eat smaller, more frequent meals, and avoid lying down immediately after eating. Consider checking for H. pylori if symptoms persist, especially with recurring epigastric pain.
Next Steps
Consult me if symptoms are on daily basis and if you are not getting relieved even after taking omeprazole.
