Most likely, this is acid reflux with gas and functional dyspepsia, and anxiety is amplifying the chest tightness. Reflux happens when stomach acid moves up and irritates the esophagus, causing burning, burping, and even left chest or shoulder discomfort. Gas and swallowed air with anxiety can add bloating and pressure sensations. Since you are 37, male, with no medicines or allergies, do an ECG today if pain is persistent, new, or with sweating or breathlessness. If severe or continuous, go to the emergency. Otherwise, try a two-week trial of a proton pump inhibitor (gas medicine) once daily before breakfast, add an antacid or simethicone as needed, avoid late spicy oily meals, alcohol, and excess caffeine, eat smaller portions, do slow breathing practice, elevate the head end of the bed, and test for H pylori by stool antigen or breath test. You should feel better with these steps. If symptoms continue, I will guide further. If you prefer, we can go over your reports together through an online consultation.

Regarding your stress levels: Please keep a check on your stress, as it may be contributing to your digestive issues. For your gastrointestinal symptoms: Improve your diet by including fiber-rich and voluminous foods. Stay physically active — even simple exercises like walking can help. Remember, the more active your body is, the more active your gut will be. Try to identify foods that soothe your gut and avoid those that trigger bloating or discomfort. Some foods that can help reduce bloating and burping include kheera (cucumber) and similar light, hydrating foods.
