I was diagnosed with gonorrhea on Friday June 22nd. I was given a shot of rochephin Friday and also prescribed azithromycin (2 tablets) which I took on Saturday June 23rd. I received a call the next day that said my test had come back positive for gonorrhea. The redness and tenderness around my urethra has definitely gone away considerably and there is no discharge like there initially was, but the burning sensation remains, and is almost even more painful that it was before treatment..
