Sputum positive and taking tablet from karnataka govt hospital fr the past 7days. Can a patient travel to tamilnadu native place and get a tablet from tn goverment? There is no one to help there so she is going to her hometown.

It is advisable to stop travelling for atleast 1 month after start of ATT, , if it’s unavoidable atleast wait for 2 weeks after start of ATT, maintain cough etiquette’s, fruits can be taken, but main emphasis on protein food like dal, soya bean, chicken, paneer, eggs…DOTS supply is all over India, need not worry about transferring the case to Tamil Nadu…

If the patient can hold for 1 month in karnataka it will be good for her as she can avoid spreading while traveling. Tb normally is infectious for 1 month aftet starting medication..
She can do get interstate transfer of her tb medication, should not be issue ans she can take the benefits of taking medicines from her home town.. but it's really urgent to travel she should use mask or if possible Use personal means of transportation.. will be good..
Good diet is the main stay for tb treatment. Protein rich diet is needed.. if not diabetic she can have fruits but Proteins should be emphasized

It is better not to travel till sputum is neg. Pl consult.pl cover the mouth with cloth, when ever she coughs.

As pt is sputum positive,pt is infectious,can spread TB untill sputum positivity is there.It may take up to 2-3 months hence sputum microscopy should be done as per guidelines in first 2 month.
As far as TB medicine are concerned, these are available at DOTS cetres in our country at village level also,from where drugs can be collected.Better to first register at place where pt is then it can be transferred to place where pt wants to shift.
