Facing prolonged periods without any pain or irritation consult a dr done with USG which shows simple cyst due to menstrual but the dr. Only Suggested trapic mf for 3 days which I already took before ultrasound too and just affect my flow didn't stop my periods. Now after USG I have been asked to take it again for 3 days no other pills. I am bit confused about this diagnosis, is this fine or not. Only trapic mf will make my cycle balanced ? Dr. Suggested healthy diet and excercise too. Nothing apart from this. Should I consult another gynaecologist?

Take trapic it will help reduce severity but not cure the problem in hand.
Do consider life style change and about 10-15% weight reduction.
If this issue is prolonged get a thyroid profile test.and sugar levels .
And consult for prescription and further guidance we can discuss your case in details
Prolonged periods is mostly because of fibroid for which trapic mf is necessary for bleeding
Mostly you need life style modification which includes diet changes , exercise and destressing yourself. This will eventually solve your issue in long term. No need of any other medications .
No trapic will only reduce the flow not stop it
Not will it make your cycle balanced
The ultrasound is suggestive of polycystic ovarian syndrome that requires Lifestyle modification exercise and maintaining a healthy body mass index
But PCOS is not the reason for the prolonged Bleeding
If you are bleeding beyond 7 days you need other investigations like thyroid and prolactin levels
You can connect for a prescription to help you stop the flow
