Spotting and irregular periods
Had a medical abortion on 5th May. About 10 days later, I went for an ultrasound, which showed retained products of conception (RPOC) measuring 2.3 x 2 mm. My gynecologist advised me to wait until my next period and instructed me to start taking misoprostol 200 mcg twice daily (BD) for 3 days once my period begins. She mentioned that my period should come between 5th and 16th June. Until 5th June, I had only protected sex. I also took a pregnancy test on 5th June, which came out negative. However, on 8th June, I had unprotected sex — it was just one round, and my boyfriend did not ejaculate inside me. I didn’t take the i-pill because the risk of pregnancy seemed very low. On the night of 10th June, I started experiencing very light spotting, and as of today (11th June), the spotting is still very light. What do I do is there anything to be concerned about?
