I have an infected tooth that I am on antibiotics for, but this morning I woke up with a sore throat and awful taste in my mouth and my lips are sore/burning ... How can this be possible on antibiotics?

Metronidazole or ornidazole/tinadazole and some other antibiotics can lead to metallic taste in mouth you might like to discuss this with your dentist so that he can prescribe you another ones !

The sore throat could be a viral infection unrelated to the antibiotic. However sometimes antibiotics can also cause allergic reactions. Consult your doctor if the condition persists or your symptoms worsen
extent of infection must be highr.antibiotics certainly can control the infection but cant make it go disappear .u should go to ur dentist n gt an xray done to see whats wrong.in abcess cases the rct has to be perfomed .
