Small Bowel Bleed With Black Stool.
Sir, My Grandma was hospitalised last month on 24th april of Black stool. she is 76 years of age. Twice she do Endoscopy n Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy n CT Angiogram.From the report they said it is a small bowel bleed. Ct angiogram again show a occlusion thrombosis on right leg.Every day Haemoglobin came down. After every two day One units of blood is given if it is below 7.Right now she is given Thiladomide Tablet but no improvement still passes Black stool. Again Capsule endoscopy non availability of the Lockdown.Echo Report show normal. What line of treatment should be given.Is there any co relate between bowel bleed and occlusion thrombosis.. Please help me. What option available.

The altered bleed and the black stool could be because of an Upper GI Bleed. The occlusion in her artery is a different pathology and is most likely to be unrelated to the upper gi bleed.
Next Steps
Needs further evaluation. Upper Gi Endoscopy and Capsule endoscopy along with evaluation of the vascular thrombus.
