Slured speech, falls asleep all the time

Male 79y, early morning his speech is slured, he falls asleep while eating and reading newspaper. He gets beter during day, but then cannot recall anything about earlier the day.

Seems Like age related brain ageing but needs to check reversible causes of memory loss like B12 deficiency and hypothyroidism structural lesion in Brain by appropriate investigations including MRI Brain. Excessive day time sleepiness can be due to OSA, does he snore at night. If he does then this needs to be brought to the notice of the Neurologist with an appointment
