My mother 44 yrs old is suffering from sleep disorder. So we consulted a doctor and she provided *Altonil 5mg*. My mother is also a patient of seizure consuming *lacosome 100* in the day and *lacosome 150* at night . Will Altonil increase the risk of seizure? She had last episode of seizure in the year 2021

Hello there, Atonil 5 mg is Levosulpiride which is a primarily a Prokinetic agent which works on the Dopamine receptor, which may cause some sedation but not a first line drug for Sleep Disorder. According to sources, there’s a chance that this drug might lower the seizure threshold and can aggravate seizures in predisposed patients. However, I would suggest you to consult with a Neurologist regarding this so that they can guide you and prescribe you a drug which’ll not interfere with the seizure disorder. Hope she gets well soon.
