Skin issue
Hi Doctor, My newly born 9 days old baby boy has this redness,small blisters kind on his both the cheeks since birth..we are using coconut oil for this daily ..is this enough ? Please advise if any medication or oil is required.Photos are attached. Thanks in advance.

Hi, appears to be normal rash(erythema toxicum) which appears on day3 or 4 and will fade away in 2 weeks. Try not to apply coconut oil to face and body, rather it can be applied to scalp, body massage can be done with olive oil. After bath apply moisturising lotion to body.

It is normal kind of rash which appears in babies. Keep moisturizing the skin.

These are normal rashes which appear on face of newborn baby...will subside in a week or two. Keep moisturizing the skin.

Nothing to worry about.. Don’t apply any oil powder or Kajal to your baby.. Use cetaphil or dermadew moisturising lotion .. it’s enough
