Hello I understand your concern
Exclusive breastfeeding is adviced till 6 month age
However if formula feeds had to be given, consider these:
Choose Aptamil Gold if:
Baby has mild colic, constipation, or gas issues.
Parents prefer a formula with a whey-dominant profile (closer to breastmilk).
They’re looking for gut-friendly prebiotics (Aptamil has a better blend).
Choose Similac Plus if:
Baby tolerates it well and has no GI issues.
Vision support is a concern (lutein is an added benefit).
Parents want a formula easily available in India with good brand trust.
Next Steps
Always choose one formula and stick with it unless the baby develops issues.
Transition gradually over 2–3 days if switching from another brand.
Watch for signs of tolerance – vomiting, constipation, rashes, excessive crying.
Prepare as per instructions. Over- or under-dilution can harm the baby.
Continue exclusive breastmilk if possible – formula is second-best.
Health Tips
If baby has no current feeding issues, Aptamil Gold is generally preferred due to its closer similarity to breastmilk and better prebiotic profile. However, both are nutritionally adequate.
