Sildenafil citrate safety in pregnancy
My wife is 23 weeks pregnant. In the last visit gynecologist told amniotic fluid is low and prescribed sildenafil citrate 25mg. My wife has been taking this from past 15 days. I read in on website that sildenafil causes pulmonary hypertension in foetus and it may be fatal. I am worrying very much about this. Please let me know whether sildenafil is safe or not during pregnancy

May I know the value of amniotic fluid ? Amniotic fluid less than 10 is a matter of concern Amniotic fluid is made by the secretions of the fetus There is no guarenteed evidence that a medicine may help increase the amount of amniotic fluid As the reason for the less liquor needs to be identified first Some studies hv documented sildenafil may increase amniotic fluid But no studies hv documented teratogenicity
