Showing no sign of pain
My son is 2 months. Ever since birth I'm noticing he doesn't cry much during a vaccine or anything that should supposedly be causing him pain. He seems to cry out of fear and not out of pain. During the 6th week vaccine, he cried only when the vaccine was injected and later showed no sign of pain. We had done a tongue tie and lip tie procedure for him yesterday and was advised that he might be cranky for 2 days because of the pain but he was slightly cranky only yesterday before latching only. From today he's showing no sign of pain. Is this normal?

Individual variation is there for pain sensation. Deviation of child's attention during vaccination will be associated with less pain. This is normal.

Is he growing fine ? Is he active & playful ? Is he passing urine stool normally ? Is he eating well ? Is he responding to other stimuli as per his age ? If growth and development are normal nothing to worry but needs to be observed

Every child has a different threshold of pain. If your child is otherwise okay no need to worry.

Pain is a subjective thing. Some babies may be less sensitive to pain and some more sensitive. So nothing to worry
