Shortness of breath
I am 29 year old and working as a banker ...... i have a lifestyle of just sitting and not doing any exercise from last 2-3 years ....... but recently I started outdoor walking every night after dinner for 2 km or half an hour ....... the problem is that in walking i never feel shortness of breath and i can walk normally but after that i feel weak only............ but whenever i climb 10 stairs i feel heavy breath and shortness of breath . Is this is a problem or my stamina is very low.

Hi, First of all I would suggest not to walk after food as your gut needs more blood for the digestion and walking divert the blood to your legs. Many a times when we start exercise after long gap our body is de conditioned. Regular progress activity over week is better If your BMI is more than 25 then any activity against gravity will fatigue you faster Start with brisk walk for 15-30 min for 2 wks and then take 1-2 flights of stairs.
