My wife undergone cervical circlage at 16 weeks (on 04 Apr 17 as the cervix was shorten to 2.02cm) thereafter cervical length was measured on 12 Apr 17 and the length increased to 2.8cm. Again on 04 May 17 length was 3.7cm and on 04 Jun 17 it was 3.02. However ; today on 19 Jun 17 it reduced to 2.7cm. This cervix length changing pattern is causing worry to us and we are horrified as it may result in preterm birth. Pls guide what are the probable consequences of such cervical phenomenon.

The cervical length is measured by sonography.
Since the cerclage has been done.
It's better to see if the Os is open or no.
Another important thing is take adequate rest.
And follow routine antenatal care.
It's not something very serious but need to careful.
The concern in short cervix is chance of early labour and preterm delivery.
Both of which can be avoided as u have done the cerclage
