Short period time
Hello doctor I'm 28 years old and recently got married. I feel like my periods have become shorter over the last 1–2 years (previously I used to have 4–5 day periods). Currently I'm having a heavy flow in the first 2 days and on the 3rd day I don't need to use any pads. Basically, by the 3rd day it's getting completed. I'm using around 6–7 pads every month and flow is like this for the last 1–2 years since when I started having intercourse with my partner. We want to wait for pregnancy at least 1–2 years now. Note: My period started when I was 9–10 years old. I don't take any pills also.

You could be developing PCOS. Please consult a Gynaecologist in your area for a physical examination and further management. You should concentrate on becoming pregnant rather than having prolonged periods. You are already married.

It can be normal to have it,scanty flow but they are regular . Get your sr TSH done to rule out any thyroid conditions. Get usg pelvis also to be on safer side to rule out pco.
