For the last 36 hours ive been having sharp pain on the left side of chest mostly the left breast. Happens when im not active and gets worse when I'm active.

Hello. There are two possibilities. You should go for an E.C.G. If the ECG is normal then it should be Costochondritis, which means inflammation of the muscles and assosiated rib cage. So kindly get a differential diagnosis by having ECG. After that, the treatment part can be started. Regards

Pain in the breast can be the muscular cause or may be any thing related to mammary gland. One should do self palpation of breast and see if there is any abnormality, if yes then visit to a general surgeon. At age of 21 less likely it could be related to heart but if it is hurting really bad and causing breathing problem and sweating like symptoms then get ECG also. Till then take a Analgesic and see if get relieves or not.
