Sexual intercourse during conception

Asked for Male, 28 Years

Hello Dr, My wife has been tested negative BHCG on 34th day of her cycle. She has not yet got her periods. Dr. has advised to wait for 10 more days to repeat the BHCG test if she doesn't get her periods until then. Question is can we have sex during this period ?
