Hello Doctor, I am 34 years old and a mother for a four year old baby boy. My sex life was quite good and we used intimate once a week at least. My husband is very understanding and if I am not ready, he would never force me. Last year I had panic attacks and consulted a psychiatrist and the doctor told me I am suffering from anxiety disorder and I have been on medication for years. My problem is whenever my husband wants to get intimate, I am unable to co-operate. I don't feel like having it. I don't get any desire to have sex. One thing I observed is that I can have only once or twice a month (I generally get high desire during these days so I am able to co-operate). I feel irritated if he tries to have sex and I find it really hard to co-operate. I really don't understand what's happening and feel very guilty. Can you pls help me , what is the problem.

Has your problem started after birth of your child? I assume it to be so . It looks like significant fluctuations in your mood - when it is good you have good desire and vice versa . This may fit in to Biolar disorder which is pretty common A psychiatrist can diagnose and treat it nicely
