Severe pain during periods

My wife is having Severe pain during first 2 days of period. lying all day in the bed. Not able to do anything during this time. Is this serious issue?

Yes it is serious issue.Get done ultrasonography to know the exact pathology of uterus.Sometimes infection also causes pain during periods.Better contact to gynaecologist and take her advice.

Yes if she has severe dysmenorrhea then there are chances that she could be suffering from endometriosis , PID , ovarian cysts , adenomyosis , fibroid etc Get an ultrasound pelvis done
