Your CBCT and TMJ reports indicate severe narrowing of the upper airway, Grade 1 osteoarthritis in the TMJ region, and Grade 3b narrowed upper airway. Given your symptoms, a multidisciplinary approach is recommended.
*Treatment Plan
- *Consultation*: Schedule appointments with an ENT specialist, sleep medicine specialist, and a dentist/oral surgeon to discuss your symptoms and test results.
-
*Oral Appliance Therapy*: Consider a custom-made oral appliance (MAD) to advance your lower jaw and keep the airway open during sleep.
- *Physical Therapy*: Address forward neck posture and improve overall posture with exercises and stretches.
- *Lifestyle Changes*:
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Sleep on your side or elevate your head with pillows
- Practice relaxation techniques (e.g., meditation, yoga) to reduce stress and clenching
- *Dental Treatment*: Consult with your dentist about treating teeth grinding and clenching, and consider a night guard or splint.
-
*TMJ Management*: Explore options like physical therapy, pain management, and possibly injections or surgery if conservative treatments fail
