Severe knee pain
I fell 3 weeks ago running on hard wood floors. I slipped and slammed my right kneecap into the group. It was excruciating but went away with a few minutes. I have since worked on nearly every day with it, ran, no problem walking/squatting etc. When I touch the knee it doesn't hurt but at the top of my kneecap it feels tingly to the touch. Finally and more importantly, if my kneecap barely bumps up against something in the right spot, it is gut wrenching sharp pain. It lingers for a minute and I cant function but then it subsides and I don't feel anything. I cannot recreate the pain by pressing on my own knee with my fingers.

You might have hurt your knee ligaments and muscles. It takes about 2-3 months for them to recover completely. Try knee strengthening exercises. If the pain doesnt subside then consult a experienced physiotherapist. Dr vijay Ramnani MCSP
