  3. Severe cough since 4mnths. The cough?

Severe cough since 4mnths
Since 4 months My father is coughing often mainly more in the nights.we consulted the doc and he said to take sputum test. The result came as prominent branco vascular markings are seen.later we consulted another doc and he said that it was due to acid reflex.how to get rid of this and reduce the cough? Pls help!
