Serious chest pain and evening fever.
I have been experiencing serious chest pain and had a CT done. The results were enlarged lymph nodes in lungs, band and dependent atelectasis in the left lung upper lobe and bilateral lungs lower lobe. In the mediastinum the left main pulmonary artery is encased by the enlarged lymph nodes. I consulted a doctor and have been on medication(steroids) for 25 days but I haven't got better. I experience fever in the evening and chest pain everyday. Doctor told I have sarcoidosis.

Hi. I understand your concern s. You will need to undergo a biopsy of the lymph nodes. Consult a pulmonologist for the biopsy.

You need sampling from lymph nodes...EBUS TBNA and bronchoscopy...also some other test like ACE levels, mantoux...consult a pulmonologist for the same.
