Seizures in my child
My son 5 years old had seizures in November 2024 at that time we took him to pediatrician he had done blood test MRI and EEG all the reports were normal but again in Jan 10th 2026 he again got seizures but both times he got in sleeping while waking up please tell me whether we should use permanent medicine for this I'm very concern about this

At this age there is possibility of febrile seizure or early onset epilepsy. If your child had fever during both episodes, then the seizures will settle after a few years and need not continue medicines But there is a need to rule out early onset epilepsy, also important is family history of similar complaint. For that there is need of dedicated epilepsy protocol MRI and video EEG test. If proven, will need lifelong medicines

You should consult a paediatric Neurologist as soon as possible. They might need to run more tests like a video telemetry EEG or a sleep deprived EEG. The MRI needs a proper review to ensure there are no brain problems causing the seizures.
