Seizures and pregnancy
Hi doctor, we r planning for baby and my wife had history of seizures which developed after marriage, it's usually in ofcourse rarely, in few months, but she had 2 episode of gtcs in a day, please tell me if she can have seizures medications while pregnant?? Which is safe drugs? And how to proceed with pregnancy...thank u

Hi... Seizure medications during pregnancy is the issue for many patients.. As there are many safe drugs with low risk for baby... Like levetercetam(said to b) ... While high risk are valproate, phenytoin First thing is to find out why she is getting recurrent seizures And second is why she not controlled with the drugs.. Either drug of choice should b different which can adjust with the seizure type... What is mri brain report? Let me know
