Salty food to baby
My baby is 9 month old. Suddenly she has started disliking sweet taste including banana. But whenever I give her food with salt she have one happily. I have heard no salt till 1 year. Means just 1g in a day which I give sometimes to her. What should I do. Does it affect kidney. O am worried. Please mention exactly how much salt can be given in teaspoons. Also if no sodium salt that is potassium salt is given is there any problem.

No salt and sugar till one year of age. Whatever minimum salt requirement is there that’s fulfilled through milk so no added salt in food. Any type of alt is not recommended. They become picky at this age and start refusing food. You just have to be patient and offer all variety and consistency of food including finger foods.don’t force feed. Under one year , milk is still main source of nutrition.
Next Steps
Start eating with baby , they see you and are encouraged to eat.
