RPOC in scan
Hi doctor I've had medical abortion misoprostol on 9th September 2025. Doctor asked me to come for ultrasound on 16th and the observation of report is written below. I have little spotting. Doctor asked to repeat a dose of misoprostol after the scan. Even after misoprostol, i don't have much flow. It is just spotting since the 2nd dose of misoprostol. I have been asked to come for ultrasound again on 22nd . Report says 'thickened endometrium with hyperechoic foci of size 11mm*9mm with internal vascularity, suggestive of RPOC' I'm unable to attach report here as the app is not letting me do What are the chances that the retained products will pass through if I don't have any bleeding. Also, if the product is still retained, what is the option other than DNC. I don't want DNC at all. Can that be left like that without any further intervention

Other than DnC , the only option is again taking medication and follow up USG. But i will suggest you to do HYSTEROSCOPY GUIDED DnC , so its done all on visualization and its helpful also.
