root canal treatment is best , in extraction the wond may take long time to heal in diabetic patient . and no doctor would extract tooth unless diabetes is under control

Ofcourse getting root canal treatment is always better than extraction. Get your HbA1c test done to get complete insight of your diabetes control. Untill HbA1C levels are beyond 7 you need not to worry about and get your RCT done.
